Monday Media Fun

Mondays always feel like a fresh start to me.  That's how you can tell I'm a teacher.  There's something new about the beginning of the week that invigorates me about the possibilities of what is to come during the week.  I also try to schedule in something good for myself on Mondays, like an acupuncture appointment, cooking my favorite meal, or yoga class.  This way, no matter what, I have something to look forward to.  Most people don't feel this way.  According to Wikipedia, "A number of songs feature Monday, often as a day of depression, anxiety, or melancholy."  Here are some links to hopefully brighten your day or at least interest you so that you don't get a "case of the Mondays."

Something sweet for your taste buds and your hands!
A murmuration is a beautiful formation that starlings make...Sophie posted this 11 days ago on vimeo, and it's made it around to many of my facebook friends...if you haven't seen it, it's definitely something to watch.  I sort of want to draw the formations that the birds make...what a lovely phenomenon.
Since we've gotten snow before Halloween, winter is definitely a-comin'.  Gear up with these feminine boots from Bogs -- they're on sale at the moment and have free shipping!
Just the title says it all...I'm hosting Thanksgiving again and this is definitely going to be a part of dinner this year!  I just discovered Sonnet's blog and it's full of delicious recipes...definitely one to add to your blog reader!
Her photography is luscious and makes me hungry for more...it's like walking into a fairy tale kitchen, some place you'd want to go to stay warm, full, and content.
What are you looking forward to this week?  Are you like me, and actually enjoy Mondays?  I know a lot of people don't even have Mondays as their first day of the work week.  Regardless, go out there, conquer, and enjoy the day.  It's all what you make of it.

  1. Thank you so much for defending Mondays! I too enjoy them; they're a chance to start off the week right before falling into the potentially stressful mid-section of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
I've been seeing that Quinoa-Pecan Stuffing everywhere lately! I guess I'll just have to try the recipe out. ;)

  2. Great stuff!
I used to feel icky about Mondays...when I had a job I dreaded. But now, Monday is a great day because it's starting another week of me doing things I love!
