Sharing the goodness - GIVEAWAY for kombucha

The weather here in Maine has been absolutely beautiful the past few days.  Spring has arrived, I've retired my winter coat and feel so much lighter, fresher, and energetic now that the sun is warming things up a bit.  There's something so liberating about taking a walk in just a hoodie or thin jacket, something so refreshing about that almost-too-warm feeling you get at the end of walking briskly for 20 minutes.

Along with the poking-through of flowers in the gardens and the lovely fresh green leafy veggies that are now available locally here, a lot of new things are growing, blossoming, and being planted in my life, too.

As you may know, I work with home schooled students during the school year, which means that with summer coming along, I needed to find a summer job.  The job I was hoping for has just officially hired me -- it's in a health-related venue, so I know I'll be happy there, learning as much as I can and having the pleasure of exchanging my knowledge with others.

Also, I feel like I'm embarking on a new journey I've also been contemplating how I can both learn and spread my passion for food and health in addition to my career as a teacher.  This blog has been a great outlet for that -- it's so incredible the folks I've met and things I've learned just from having the Spiced Plate for a little over three months.  I really want to be able to help people who have just found out about a food intolerance that they have or who are having difficulty losing weight or eating healthfully.  I am happy to feel like, with a possible new endeavor that I want to keep quiet until I am positive that I will be able to make it happen, this dream can become more of a reality.  I know this is vague, but I've been thinking about it a lot and wanted to share these beginning stages of thoughts here.

In addition, new and great things are happening for Andrew, too -- he's going back to school for a degree in Electrical Engineering, and has been working so hard on his own learning new math concepts to prepare himself for his classes this autumn.  I'm so proud of him, and know he'll do great in school.

To celebrate these new developments, I wanted to share a bit of goodness with you.  When I want to celebrate, instead of going out and getting a beer with Andrew, we get a kombucha.  Have you ever tried kombucha?  Kombucha is a fermented tea, which doesn't sound too pleasant, but believe me, this drink tastes fantastic.  A bit fizzy from carbonation makes its texture akin to soda, but without any of the sugar.  Since its fermented, kombucha has billions of active cultures that assist in the proper functioning of your gut.  I swear by kombucha for keeping my immune system up when I'm starting to get a cold, or for soothing my stomach if I've eaten something funny.  Kombucha is known for being detoxifying, cleansing for the liver and has been used in cancer treatment.  My favorite brand is G.T.'s, because they're raw, have hardly any sugar, and they come in glass bottles that feel lovely to drink from.  And, I'm sure you're not surprised to find that the Gingeraid flavor is what I typically buy.

Would you like to win some free kombucha?  Good, because I'd love to share these lovely coupons with you!

There are three ways to enter the giveaway.  Please use a separate comment for each entry:

This contest closes this Wednesday, April 20th at midnight.  I'll announce the winners on Thursday.
